Music, acting, dance, art, and storytelling "smashed up" into an original pirate filled musical! With selections from
Annie,
Peter Pan,
Oliver, and more, this workshop is perfect for elementary-aged students interested in the fundamentals of creating and performing, or for kids with an interest in the arts who just want to have a good time. Students enjoy a two-week camp and parents enjoy a performance of a one-act mini-musical created by "yer mateys".
August 1st ‐ 12th • Monday‐Friday • 6:00pm‐9:00pm • performance August 13th
Two of the essential elements that make the magic of Musical Theatre possible are truth and story. Truth speaks to the human connection. Story speaks to the journey traveled. At Stage Right's Musical Theatre Summer Camp, students enter a two-week-long camp to learn how to find the story and their own truth in acting, speech, and song. They'll work with Broadway selections from
Wicked,
13,
The Last 5 Years, and
Into the Woods, as well as the scenes that lead into them, learning new skills and having a good time while gaining confidence in the process.
